About Tracy Weatherby, LMHC

Therapy is about you—not me—but if you’re curious about who I am and how I got here, here’s a bit of my story.

I know what it’s like to pour everything into a creative career—the passion, the late nights, the drive to make something meaningful. I also know how disorienting it can feel when that world starts to take more than it gives back.

Before I became a therapist, I spent years working in television, primarily in docu-series and some reality programming. I saw firsthand how the industry can wear people down—how the long hours, the instability, and the constant pressure to deliver can leave even the most passionate creatives feeling exhausted and lost.

For a long time, I thought I just had to push through, that stress and burnout were just part of the deal. But over time, I realized I wasn’t alone in feeling this way. So many of the talented people around me were struggling too—grappling with self-doubt, questioning their worth, wondering if they were ever “enough.”

So I took a step back, changed directions and returned to school at Northwestern University where I earned a master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. Now, I help other creative professionals navigate the same challenges I faced, offering the kind of support I wish I’d had during the hardest moments of my career.

Therapy isn’t about fixing what’s broken—it’s about making space for what’s real. It’s a place to quiet the noise, untangle what’s keeping you up at night, and figure out what actually matters to you. You don’t need all the answers—just a space to ask the right questions. Let’s create that space together.

I believe in Equity for All

I'm committed to creating a space where all identities are seen, valued, and respected. I proudly stand as a member and ally of the LGBTQIA+ community and in support of racial justice. My practice is grounded in inclusivity, empathy, and a deep respect for the diverse experiences each client brings.
